Leon

I arrived in León following a brief hike and have been captivated by this historic city. León is steeped in history, notably as a former Roman military garrison and later as a critical part of the Kingdom of León, a major medieval power. The city’s architectural heritage is rich, featuring landmarks like the stunning León Cathedral and the Basilica of San Isidoro, which houses royal tombs and ancient manuscripts. Unfortunately, it rained today, and the forecast suggests more rain in the coming days. Hiking in the rain isn’t ideal, but it’s all part of the adventure. I’m also still adjusting to the local dining schedule; restaurants here don’t open until 8 PM, which nearly coincides with my usual bedtime. This has been a bit challenging, but it’s also a part of immersing myself in the local lifestyle. The city’s blend of historical significance and vibrant modern culture makes every moment here fascinating.

Never rains in Spain
