Walked 18 miles today.
Very sunny and windy.
Legs are tired but I will get across the Meseta!
Lost an Irish pilgrim today that is going home due to spraining their ankle. Another that is having to rest for three days after twisting theirs.
Photos do not do justice to the miles and miles of nothing and then out of nowhere a small village with monasteries and chapels. 1500 years of pilgrims walking the same route.
Had a great meal with the several pilgrims tonight, including a Ukrainian talked about her homeland and what was happening to it. Fairly sobering discussion.
Loving life !
