As you will see if you watch the video on the next page, today was incredibly tough. I left before sunrise to get a head start on the day. Going up the mountain was fairly straightforward but coming down with a completely different story. It was raining and very rocky with boulders, which were very slippery, so the last 10 miles was downhill dealing with that. Very conscious of spraining or breaking my ankle as I have a tendency to do that.
Realize that adding rain into the equation is a completely different ballgame.
Tomorrow I have another 20 miler that should be fairly straightforward. Fingers crossed.
The cross that you can see in the photographs has been used by pilgrims for over 1000 years. You take a rock or stone there and put it at the bottom of it to either honor a loved one, present or deceased. To let go of something etc etc
The view today was fairly spectacular and the photographs do not do it justice.
